We asked Lauren Reilly to tell us about The Soccer Box Company, a company she co-founded with Linzi Martin. Both Reilly and Martin are former collegiate and professional soccer players. Reilly is a former contributor to Our Game Magazine.

Who are we? Why do we exist? What do we provide? Why now?
At a glance, we are an e-commerce service of sport-specific convenience; by name, a company tailored to supply the large and ever-evolving demographic of female soccer players with products and services that help young players as they work toward achieving their potential. Beyond the surface, however, The Soccer Box Company was founded with the idea of being so much more than that.
So, Who Are We?
We are our target demographic. We aspire to provide the products and services we wish we had or wish we knew about when we were younger players working to achieve our dreams. We are former collegiate and professional soccer players who have gained so much from the sport we play, coach, and love that we created a business committed to giving back to the next generation of players who live, breathe, and invest themselves in the game in the same ways we do.
Why Do We Exist?
Because we are a brand focused on the future and our potential influence upon it; a company founded on the premise of giving our subscribers the convenient opportunity to invest in themselves in such a way that will help them achieve their goals and become strong, confident women. In a niche market over saturated with enticing club options and variable coaching mentalities and with an array of marketable brands and alluring products, we have tried, experienced, worked alongside, and have now aligned our company with the people, products, and services that are influential game-changers in the sport.

What Do We Provide?
Once you have subscribed, you will receive a monthly box (shipped between the 10th and 15th of each month) that will include a unique blend of soccer-girl essentials — athletic apparel, soccer-specific training guides and equipment, cosmetic products, personal development guides, lifestyle accessories, and discount codes and samples for soccer-related products and training services from our favorite partner companies. Each month offers a new box with items that coincide with each month’s specific theme. Every box also includes a personal progress card that is specifically tailored to address your individual strengths/weaknesses/goals and will help progress you toward reaching the next level of personal and athletic development.

As former players, current coaches, and perpetual dream-chasers ourselves, we have built this company to help young female soccer players navigate an admittedly overwhelming, yet incredibly opportunistic road toward achieving their goals. We know it’s not easy, but we promise it can and will be worth it.
We’ve been there, done that, and have learned and experienced so much from this sport that we want to give back and empower this generation and the next to achieve everything they want and more from their involvement and investment in the game we all mutually love.
