Head Coach Michelle French will bring 20 players to France for matches in Plabennec and Plougastel. Of the 20 players, 17 return from the roster that won the CONCACAF championship in January. Included in the roster is Lindsey Horan, who plays for Paris Saint-Germain in France’s top women’s league. The youngest player on the roster is 16-year-old Mallory Pugh, who earlier this year committed to UCLA. Additional newcomers include Kaleigh Riehl and Carlyn Baldwin.
The U.S. will return home for one final training camp in July before leaving for Canada.
The U.S. will open Group B play against Germany in Edmonton on August 5.. China PR and Brazil round out Group B. France face Costa Rica in Montreal on August 6. New Zealand and Paraguay join France and Costa Rica in Group D.
