On its website this morning, Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) posted that it has handed magicJack a series of penalties, including docking the Florida-based club one point in the WPS standings and losing future draft picks.
WPS states: “As an escalated penalty for continuing non-compliance with league standards in Week 5, magicJack has lost one (1) point in the 2011 WPS Standings and the team’s right to its third round draft pick in the 2012 WPS Draft.
“As an escalated penalty for continuing non-compliance with league standards in Week 4, magicJack has lost the team’s right to its final (fourth) round draft pick in the 2012 WPS Draft.”
