In less than 10 months, Analisa Marquez has been part of three Women’s Professional Soccer (WPS) organizations. Monday, she officially signed with her third team, the Atlanta Beat. The former Boston Breakers defender, who started the 2011 preseason with the Western New York Flash, landed in Atlanta on a trial basis. Four days later, the team signed the former University of Arizona star.
“It’s really exciting to be in Atlanta,” Marquez said. “The team, coaches, staff, and owners are awesome. I’m really looking forward to playing good soccer this year. To make a roster is the best reward for all the work I put in during the offseason.”
Marquez saw action in one game last year for the Breakers. She later played for the Buffalo Flash, who went on to win the 2010 W-League Championship.
