U.S. Women’s National Team Head Coach Pia Sundhage announced Monday the 31-player roster for the team’s upcoming training camp in Florida. The camp will take place in Ft. Lauderdale from Feb. 3 through Feb. 9. Of the 31 players, one (Sinead Farrelly) is making her first USWNT camp appearance.
According to U.S. Soccer, this is the team’s final domestic training camp prior to the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup. Following the training camp, Sundhage will name her Algarve Cup roster. That tournament takes place in early March in Portugal. The U.S. plays Japan (March 2), Finland (March 4), and Norway (March 7) in group play.
