Norwegian Women’s National Team forward Melissa Wiik has left VfL Wolfsburg (Bundesliga) and returned to Norway in order to not lose her spot on the national team heading into the 2011 Women’s World Cup. In other news out of Bundesliga, SC Bad Neuenahr has suspended Claudia Götte. The 18-year-old Götte is a member of Germany’s U-19 National Team. Götte, who recently returned from a long-term injury, has had a number of incidents within the team, according to the coaching staff, and the team has offered her to other clubs.
