The two teams – Canada (ranked ninth in the FIFA Women’s World Rankings) and Brazil (ranked third in the world) – played to a 0-0 draw. Canada wins the group phase with seven points and a +6 goal differential. Brazil also finished with seven points, but with a +4 goal differential to finish in second place. Stephanie Labbe earned the shutout for Canada, which has now won nine games in row, including eight shutouts. Also Wednesday in São Paulo, the Netherlands beat Mexico, 3-1. The same teams will play Sunday in the third-place game.
