Orlando selected Klingenberg as the first pick in the 2015 NWSL Expansion Draft from the Seattle Reign, who acquired the defender from the Houston Dash in exchange for midfielder Amber Brooks and a first-round pick (No. 5 overall) in the 2016 NWSL College Draft on October 21. Seattle also received Houston’s first-round pick in the 2017 NWSL College Draft.
